NEW MEXICO STATE ARCHERY ASSOCIATION:
Charter members Bill Grant and Robert Romero chartered the New Mexico State Archery Association in 1995. The state association was formed in an effort to support USA Archery which is the governing body of the Olympic sport of archery.

MISSION:
To promote the growth of archery through out the state and to host the state indoor and outdoor championships.

NEWS:
The state association has been reorganized and has a new board of Directors and Officers. We would like to welcome the new board members, Bill Hensley, Sam Tuma and Robert Romero. The new officers will be-President/Treasurer- Robert Romero, Vice President- Bill Hensley and Secretary- Joan Hinterbichler.

The group has been successful in bidding for and acquiring the National Indoor tournament for 2015-2016 that has been held for many years in Rio Rancho . The event will no longer be held in Rio Rancho but will move to its new home in the Albuquerque convention center. The event dates are Feb. 20-22, 2015. The JOAD portion will be held on the evening of the 20th and the National Indoor portion will be held on the 21st and 22nd.

Negotiations have been completed between the Albuquerque parks and Recreation department in forming an alliance to use the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta fields for archery events and for an upcoming Parks and Recreation program in the summer of 2015.

The association will be sending out information regarding the upcoming indoor and outdoor state championships that we are required to hold annually. This year the championships will be shortened versions of National championships due to the time restrictions we are facing regarding facilities acquisition.

If you have any questions regarding upcoming events or any questions or suggestions please contact Bob Romero
